fixed tricky county borders in Germany: four counties less. added Madeira and added missing counties in Aragon (1), Anatolia (1) Bavaria (1) and Germany (2). found two new counties in Sweden and Armenia, fixed Georgia and the twice appearing Estonia from the chart.

Most of this increase is experienced on the edges of the map: Tibet, Africa and Steppes. In overall, counties have increased by ~ 45 %.So some of the numbers are a bit less reliable than others (especially those tricky narrow provinces in the mountains, as well as the small German clusters). Also, it is very hard to tell how many separate counties there are for example in the Aegean archipelago in CK3.

Sorry for the African, Indian, Tibetan and Steppes peoples - I was running out of motivation by just looking at their dozens of new Kingdoms, so I rather just painted their Empires (instead of Kingdoms) and calculated the counties in them.Ĭounting the counties was somewhat tricky, especially with CK3, as the county map we have is not very clear in all points and it is hard to figure out where the borders of the counties lie. I tried to make coherent regional groups from these Kingdoms, so I rather grouped Sicily into Italian group, three Balkan states to their own group and Anatolian (and partly Caucasian) territories into their own group, rather than creating a huge Byzantine de jure Empire group. I tried to make the this as self-explanatory as possible.
